Slay in red this Valentine season with these fashion tips.
Red, as we all know, is the color of romance and passion, so there is no reason why you shouldn't wear something of that lovely hue on Valentine's Day. Regardless of whether you are committed to a relationship or one of the single ladies, you should be able to celebrate this day with a smile on your face and a killer look. However, there are some of you ladies who prefer not to wear a red outfit. That's okay because you can still slay in red with accessories. Since St. Valentine's Day is just a few days away, we thought of giving you girls some easy, straightforward fashion advice.
Here are ways on how to accessorize with red on February 14th:
Red lipstick
With red lipstick, you wouldn't need that much eye makeup or blush. Allow your lips to make the statement. Choose the perfect vavavoom red shade that fits your skin tone. If you have cool undertones (if your veins look blue under your skin), go with the blue-based red. Whereas if you have warm undertones (veins look green), go for the orange or yellow-toned red.
Red earrings
If you are not the type to wear a boldly-colored lipstick, then make a statement with a gorgeous pair of earrings. The bigger and longer, the better. As we all know, these accessories bring attention to the face. So pick the pair that will make everyone take a double look. Tassel earrings, for example, have that "look at me" factor that can definitely give you compliments.
Fashion ring with a red stone
Fashion rings can make you slay in red too. Wear one that has a large center stone in a red color. If you don't like solitaire rings, you can go for one that is studded with red crystals all over the band. Anything ruby or garnet-colored, again depending on your skin tone, will do.
Red bag
A red bag looks perfect with an all-black outfit. The contrast of colors works so perfectly, and the ensemble will give you a confident and empowered look. Of course, you can wear something besides black; any wardrobe piece in a solid color that is not in the shade of red will do.
Red shoes
A pair of eye-catching red shoes is perfect to match red lipstick. And mind you, it does not need to be a pair of ouch-y stilettos. Even a pair of red flats or sneakers will do! Just as long as you pick ones that have a bright shade of red and you're good to go.
